WE INSIST! Records

WE INSIST! Records is an independent record label founded in 2018 by Maria Borghi and Giancarlo Nino Locatelli, with the aim of promoting a group of musicians who, despite working in different genres, share a common vision of music-making characterized by a spirit of continuous exploration.

The clear reference to Max Roach is in itself significant and necessary. “We Insist! Freedom Now Suite” is an album that captures a historic moment, but it is also an album that contains music with a new and innovative flavor that continues to amaze even 60 years after its release and has inspired several generations of musicians. An album with an unforgettable cover image and graphics that are as simple as they are effective. The term “insist” has not only political implications but also very broad and current social and personal ones. To insist means to devote time and attention to things, with dedication and patience. This is something that today, in order to achieve certain and quick results, we tend not to do anymore.
