Two intense days in music: seven encounters between people, instruments, disciplines, individualities, stories, visions, and passions.
The duo is an unstable formation without a net. In two, you can show, hide, support, hinder, understand, and confuse. Bubù settete, peekaboo in English, is the game of cuckoo, of disappearing and reappearing behind an obstacle, a hand, or an object. It is a term that characterizes a situation of surprise but also of tension and disorientation. Play, surprise, tension, and disorientation also characterize the dialogues of the pairs of performers who will take turns on stage.
Jazz today means many things; in this sense, every duo owes something to jazz and its derivations. Each musician, more or less explicitly, is invited, in dialogue with the other, to show, conceal, allude to, or avoid the ties that do or do not bind us to this tradition.
The event took place at the prestigious Casa delle Arti in Cernusco sul Naviglio and has been made possible by the collaboration of the Culture Sector of the Municipality of Cernusco, the city where the foundation has its headquarters, and also by the support of Ecomuseo Martesana APS.
